How Is Freight Calculated?

Road (groupage): the greater of loading meter (LDM), volume (m³) and weight (kg).
Air: volumetric weight = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6000; chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight (1 m³ ≈ 167 kg).
Sea (LCL): W/M basis — the greater of weight (tons) and volume (m³) is charged.
Road transport carrier liability falls under the CMR Convention (8.33 SDR/kg).
